That's the name of a subdivision of townhomes coming our way apparently, not a racial statement.
Apparently the QAC Planning Commission just approved a 204 townhouse unit. The price target range apparently will be $120,000 to $150,000.

I wonder what kind of crime will be brought into the area. Might as well been government sub housing! 120-150K it will have to be junk. We are slowly becoming Glen Burnie

Is the development pendulum starting to swing the other way?

That article is a very old news story. Look at the top of the page...the page is called "From the Past". They post old news articles there...they should put the date of the article for reference or something...but it's old.
The article above references the Mayor of Centreville. Centreville no longer has a mayor.
The location they reference eventually became Gibson's Grant.

Good catch, ravensjeff. My apologies. I have to say that I'm glad they changed the name of the subdivision and decided to go with single family homes that cost about half a million (but look like they have 12 inches between them) instead of 100K townhomes.

While I get this is an old subdivision and now is gibsons grant... What is wrong with having affordable housing here on Kent island? Why does that have to be associated with being a bad thing? There are many that live here or around this area and because housing is so unaffordable they cannot buy and rent is killing them. They are productive members of society, work everyday, have kids, etc but cannot afford a half a milion dollar house that's 10' from their neighbor. So that makes them bad? How arrogant are you? I imagine the people who have lived here their entire lives weren't able to afford the homes nowadays. What about the young couple starting out? What about our kids who come home from college and find a local job on the other side of the bridge but because they love this awesome little town they want to set down roots here but can't afford to.
