Foolproof Dark Chocolate Fudge
3 C Semi-sweet chocolate morsels (1 1/2 12-oz. Pkgs.) 1- 14 oz. Can Sweetened Condensed Milk 1 1/2 Tsp. Vanilla Extract 1 C Chopped Walnuts (optional)
Line 8- or 9-inch square pan with foil. In a heavy saucepan and over very low heat melt morsels & sweetened condensed milk. When melted, remove from heat. Stir in walnuts if desired & vanilla. Spread evenly into square pan. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm. Remove fudge and foil from pan. Peel off foil on cutting board and cut into pieces. Store loosely covered at room temperature. Makes 5 dozen pieces.

Oooo...I'll have to try this for my husband, he adores dark chocolate. Me? Not so much...don't need to eat it anyways!

It stays fresh a long time if you keep it wrapped in foil then put it in a ziploc bag. I find it one of those easy recipes to make to put pieces on a cookie tray during the holidays.

the only think you're "cooking" is melting chocolate chips with the sweetened condensed milk. Just don't let it burn and you'll be golden.

This is the same recipe I use.
Another variation is to substitute 1/2 C. of crushed peppermint candies for the vanilla. Yum!
