Hello all, my wife and I are considering moving back to the island and are looking at waterfront homes. The question I have is what body of water is better for doing more watersports??
We have in mind a bay front home, which I can boat and jet ski from, but what about SUP and Kayak?? I love the view of the Chesapeake bay but wondering if I would be able to do ALL watersports on it.
Thanks for your thoughts. Pete

The Chesapeake side will be more exposed to waves and wind. Boats etc will have to be on lifts to avoid the weather. The shoreline and bulkheads will require more maintenance. Your use will be limited on windy days. The creeks will be more protected but you won't see any ships. However you will get more use of water toys.
