For the effort on Sunday to keep the beach travelers from clogging Route 18 on Sunday! They had a deputy stationed at each exit, attempting to verify the destination of those exiting. From what I saw, it made a huge difference west of Dominion Road. A lot of people had gotten on Route 18 in Grasonville so it was somewhat backed up at the Dominion light but nearly as bad as it has in the past. I'd say it was about 80-85% effective. Perhaps a checkpoint at the Narrows might make it 95% ??
Keep it up, if you can!

Thank you for posting. I think Sheriff Hoffman does not get a lot of deserved thanks. He and his team have done a tremendous job.
You don’t get a lot of “atta boys” in LE and civil service.
Just think about the most important aspect of QA and Hoffman.
Do you hear about significant crime, violence, major drug trafficking, etc?
No. Why? We don’t have that crap here, we don’t allow it, and we put people in office to aggressively protect our way of life.
We do things different than the western shore does. The bay separates more than geography, we are a very different people here and we like it that way.
Kudos Sheriff Hoffman.
