only 1/2 as crazy as the inconsiderate Boobs driving around through the water, creating WAKES that ran up into my already flooded garage.... One of then even got out ready to fight when he was yelled at to slow down..... he backed off when 3 of us started out at him. One of them was a Yellow Hummer, I figure his under carriage should be good and rusty by now.....

I was in Boston trying to catch a flight back home. My brother-in-law trying to be helpful moved my boat from under the trees on the side of the house to the middle of the front yard (no trees to fall on it) With all the rain, the boat sank down to the axles. I had to wait for the ground to dry, then use a come-along to move the boat across the lawn and onto the driveway. My flight gets diverted to Philly where I rent a car and drive the rest of the way. The narrows was unbelievable!! Boats laying on the ground like toys. Kent Island Estates came through relatively untouched. Waves pounded some of the waterfront homes, but nobody ended up underwater. Someones brand new Searay did wash up onto Bay Drive though. Doesn't seem as if was three years ago.

What was the occasion that brought all the water? Hurricane or just a bad rainstorm?

It was what was left of Hurricane Isabel. By the time it got here it nolonger rated as a hurricane. Still had sustained winds of 50+ mph though. Enough to close both the Bay and Kent Narrows Bridges.
I had about 3 feet of water from Carter's Creek in the back yard.

I was living in Queen's Landing then and we came out ok. I ended up at 'Gravity Lounge' with a lot of other people that night drinking beers. The next day I videotaped downtown Annapolis which got it really bad. Here's the link to the video if anyone wants to see Annapolis under water: www.annapolissite.com/streaming.htm

I live 2 blocks from the Romancoke pier. I had waterfront property for 1 day. A lot of my waterfront neighbors had significant damage. However, in some cases the damage actually turned out to be a blessing. Residents tore down "old" homes and rebuilt. I did get to meet a lot more of my neighbors at the UCVFD for coffee and conversation.

What's funny is that was only a 6' storm surge that caused all of that mess... how bad would it have been if it had been bigger? Did any of you see that sailboat that got lose, crossed 18 in Grasonville? I have pics of it's mast hitting the power lines and literally exploding!
