And speaking of that new building across from Wendy's/Exxon -- what the heck is it? What horrific architecture. What's going in the tower? Maybe we can lock County Commissioners up there who make dumb decisions.

I called the realtor who owns that lot before they torn down the old building to see about renting it for a business I was going to start. Lynn Semenuk told me her offices were going in there. Next thing I know it's torn down and a 'church' built in it's place and no offices rented??

I hear ya LJP and GBMike - my brother-in-law listed their house on Castle Marina with Lynn Semenuk. She didn't do s*%@ for them. After minimal to no buyer traffic for three months, due to her ineptness, they decided to go with someone else. She threatened to sue them for pulling out of the contract with her. The next realtor sold the place soon after and actually worked for her commission. Semenuk had enough nerve to tell them she still was to get part of the commission - wow, get paid for sittin' on your a#@ - what a concept.
Heed the warning - don't use her.

And you need to be VERY CAREFUL with realtors when even asking a question, if you buy a house from the person they pointed you at, they can claim partial commision.
realtors= just a bad as a lawyer

Bad realtor story, Neighbor wanted to move and the house would become a rental so my wife and i made them a fair market offer. had verbal agreement for one day. Next day we get a call from a realtor whom the owners had called to verify the value of the house. She told them the house was worth much more and pressured them to sell thru her. Two weeks later we get another call from same realtor asking if we would like to put an offer in because she had other people intrested so we restated our original offer. That night she calls back and says they were willing to take the deal. So we sign the papers and express that we want her to wave the buyers comm. since we had no realtor. She agreed and we went to settlement. When signing the papers we realise that she was getting 6% comm. and she was supposed to be a freind of theirs. Then we find out she sold them the new home as well. That nice friend walked away from the table with @40g's in her pocket without doing anything besides showing their house once. They found their new house on their own. But had been told by so called friend that they have to have a realtor to sign the contracts. Took advantage of naive people who didn't know anything about realestate.

Back to the palm reader.There was one across from Baker's a few years back.My daughter and her friend went there and for what it's worth , they felt she was was pretty dead on about a few things-it was where the Latin market is now.What brought that to mind?
