I am considering purchasing a condo in Oyster Cove community. Any imput about the community / area would be greatly appreciated. This will be a weekend place for a few years but eventullay I'd like to make it a permanent residence. Does anyone know if the land between the water treatment station and Oyster Cove has development potential. If so, this could kill the view for some condo buildings.

They have just sold the property next to the Jetty for condo's. This should be a great spot. Oyster Cove is a nice community but needs some TLC . For the money the villa's are nice. Depending on your time frame and budget I would wait for the old Hemingways to come down. This will be the killer spot. If not Narrows Pointe has one new unit left and one resale. They start @ 1,200,000.00 for a resale with a fair lot to 1,450,000.00 with a great lot. Anything from unit 20-36 is great. They are built very good.

What property next to The Jetty - The parking lot or the old oyster pile / plant?

Further down from the Jetty there is a water treatment facility and between that and Oyster Cove there is quite a stretch of undeveloped land. Mostly marsh. This is the land I was concerned about. Can it be developed? And if so what - A restaurant or marina type thing facing the water would be OK, but filling the marsh and running condo buildings or townhouses out from the road would kill the views from Oyster Cove.
Any idea how many residential units and what price range the Hemingway's property will be? That would be a great view.

This would be to the left of the hotel facing the water. The whole area will be flying by summer as far as building.

I heard that the Hemmingways property is now on hold because the owners of Hemmingway's won a suit that they filed against the land owner allowing them to keep the restaurant. Supposedly they will be reopening at the same location again for anywhere from 3 months to 5 years, depending on legalities. That means no condos for quite some time.
