for the hockey fans? I don't see a Washington Capitals logo on the banner. I bet we probably have more hockey fans on the forum than we know. The best sport to watch live, fast paced continuous action.

I would definitely NOT have a problem with replacing all four of those bandwagon teams with the Caps (even though I'm not really a Crapitals fan)

I would also have to agree that those are primarily 'bandwagon' teams. But you can't really call them the 'Crapitals' anymore. They won the Southeast Division last year. They also had the Coach of the Year, MVP (Hart Trophy), league leading goal scorer and points leader (Art Ross Trophy), players' choice for most outstanding player (Lester B. Pearson Award), highest goal scoring defenseman, and a Rookie of the Year candidate. And this year they are currently leading their division again, are undefeated in regulation time at home, and again currently have the leagues' highest goal scorer and points leader (this time it's the other Alexander on the roster).

As a former college hockey player, and minor league player for the Boston Bruins, I would have to say that the Washington Capitals are right on track to having a great year, not to mention a great run at the cup.
They need a steady goaltending dual but it appears they are jelling at the right time. You know, only two teams make it to the finals. They are doing everything in the right manner. Give them some slack. The Redskins have only made the playoffs how many times in the past 10 years? What twice? Come on you guys. If you have never put on a pair of skates in your life, you have no right to make judgements on a group of individuals that have put their entire life into being the best they can be. Understand?

Thanks, but unfortunately not their current logo. They went back to the more 'old school'. Either one of these would do. And good call adding the KIHS Bucs!

And good call adding the KIHS Bucs! Fine. But it seems we have a lot of registered users who live a little farther north and east in the county... and as I recall the QA Lions whipped some serious butt in football this year. Wasn't the total score a couple weeks back for the three teams (Freshmen, JV, and Varsity) something like a combined 67 to zip over KI? Best regards, BC

Yeah, I don't disagree that we should probably include the QA Lions as well (my wife has taught there also). Both teams did very well this year on their respective varsity squads and that was quite a battle at the end of the season between the two schools for the Bayside Cup. Now both teams have won their first round playoff games and face each other in the next round. But I am bias now, so GO BUCS!

I know I know, I'm just kidding. I don't have anything against the Caps. I tend to root for the Sabres but I have nothing against the Capitals.

Mods - one more request. I see you added the Caps, how about the Delmarva Shorebirds? They are the eastern shore's only professional sports team!

KIO Kent Island Online I think not to QA Lions, sorry..... Sorry, I didn't realize the Bowie Baysox were on Kent Island. This page serves all of QAC, not just Kent Island. Probably half or more of the members on here do not live on KI. Go Lions!
