Micheal is a great player and human being who made a minor behavior error and should be able to return to the NFL and continue his esteemed career There was nothing minor about what he did. This was an ongoing offense, not something he did once or twice.

Micheal is a great player and human being who made a minor behavior error and should be able to return to the NFL and continue his esteemed career I wouldn't exactly call what he did "minor" and after what he did he cannot be called a "great" human being. Get Real!! I understand that dog fighting is a sport but it's an asinine one. I suggest that the kind of people who want to see that kind of brutality should get in a ring themselves and tear each other apart; the world would be a better place without them (Michael Vick included)

Very good, and quite valid points Eine. And perhaps we may be up in arms. And perhaps we are also speaking as normal men and women, who if we were in Mike's position, do you seriously think anyone of us would be given a second chance? Maybe, but most likely not, and hence our up in arms responses. Vick had everything, and yet he decided to do what he did, and never worried about it at all.

Let he without sin cast the first stone Do you think Vick is really sorry for his crimes, or is he just sorry because he got caught? Next time you think you are perfect, try walking on water.

Zebadee and GPS - best to ignore the guest/troll. ;D Eine, I understand your points and actually agree with much of what you say. My point about revoking my support for a team that would pick Vick up lies more in the fact that I'm tired of how there seems to be an expectation (or at least, that it's tolerated) that athletes are somehow gods just because of their athletic prowess. I wish more fans would revoke their support of a team that has players who do things like this, because maybe the lack of dollars would finally make the owners say to their athletes that if they won't obey basic laws and mores of society, then they won't play. Not that I am ever gonna hold my breath on THAT concept. I am just tired of the whole "I'm entitled" thing that exists in pro sports, I guess, that allows athletes to act like horses' rear-ends. I hope it wouldn't come to that, regarding my support of the 'Skins and Ravens, tho'.

Oh, sorry, missed my other point.... Kids DO look up to these numbskulls, and seem to think it's ok to emulate the behaviors.

It comes down to two things really:
A) Any stipulations of the court and his release
and
B) Review and decision of the NFL commissioner to reinstate him
anything else is somewhat irrelevant..........
We could debate all day whether the crime he committed is heinous, unforgivable, etc., and what the punishment should be (I personally think they should put him in an enclosed pen with a pack of wild animals). However, if there are no legal issues restricting him from employment, and the NFL has no rules restricting (as a convicted felon) him from playing, than the chances are we'll probably see him on the field again.
If he is released prior to training camp, and is reinstated by the commissioner to play, you can guarantee a team will pick him up and probably get a good deal on him - it's business and all about the $$.

Before passing judgement, consideration should be given to Mr. Vicks humanitarian traits such as his scholarship foundtion, work with underprivlidged inner city youths and his homeless shelter network.

d**n... I'm not worthy of an honest opinion... first of all, how many true cowboy fans even remember they were the Texans when they first entered the league? Tom Landry was god and Jerry Jones pissed a lot of fans off firing him but we forgave him quickly and supported our team, we didn't care how many drugs Irvin allegedly snorted because we were winning Super Bowls.
I could go on and on but this is america and everyone is entitled to their opinion, so call me a non-fan... I actually laughed at that.

KIFORMERGUY Wrote: I Replied: Well formerkiguy, your not worthy to have the Star as your Aviator if you have been a fan that long and even thinking about jumping ship. SHAME ON YOU. No where did I say you were a non fan. I have been fan of the boys ever since I can remember, and we are talking the late 60's here. I am passionate about the Cowboys...and those who share that passion. To talk like you expressed is just wrong!! But your perogitive and right for sure!! and by the way, since the team entered the NFL in 1960 they have always been called the Cowboys, In 1952 a team called the Dallas Texans played for 1 year in the NFL and then moved to Baltimore and become the Colts; Between 1960 and 62 there was a team in the AFL called the Dallas Texans but they moved to Kansas City and become the Chiefs.... So the COWBOYS....Have Always been the Cowboys!!! And there you have it!!

LOL...hey...'bitte...look at MINE!!! I am down two from last night!! I need to do better....I am not pissing NEARLY enough people off!!! You MIGHT catch me after all!!! hahahahahaha! (*stealth exalts you just to get you closer*) Dang it...I really wish we could "smite" ourselves....I wanna get to triple digits like Mikey used to have...omg that was the funniest thing ever!
Oh...and do I think Vick should get to play again? Hell no. He has a college education...let him get out there and EARN his living. He got one shot at getting paid to PLAY A GAME, now...throw him in with the REST of us. Do I think what he did is worse than what Tyson did? I never think crimes against humans are less significant than crimes against animals.. But that's just me....I really never hugged trees either.

I'm in negatives!!! Wow, I have NO idea what I did (maybe because I agreed with a Cowboys fan??? hehehehehe. I guess I'd better not tell any of my 'Skins-fan friends about that...). ;D SG, the nitwit didn't finish college, so I guess we should feel sorry for pooooor Michael. Maybe if colleges weren't "minor league teams" we'd see more student athletes graduate and THEN go on to play football and THEN be able to do something if their playing days end prematurely. But, there I go, THINKING again. That's what I get for working in higher ed....it'll probably end up with me getting smited again... ;D ;D ;D Like I said before, I respect Bo Jackson for going back and finishing his degree. Too many athletes don't bother to finish what they started. (Yeah, yeah, I know; they make enough money, but if they aren't able to play long enough, or get enough endorsements, or get knocked out by injury, and if they didn't have a decent financial advisor, well, then what?)
