This is really yummy. For those of you who cringe at the notion of eating Bambi, use beef.
Serves 3-4 average eaters:
1 and 1/2 pounds venison steak sliced into thin strips. Trim all fat. 1 large onion sliced in half across rings and separated. I large green pepper sliced longways into thin strips. Olive oil. Teryaki sauce (I like Kikkomans) A cup of Chardonnay. Ginger. Garlic salt. I small can diced tomatos. Crushed red peppers.
Brown the venison stips in olive oil. Don't overcook them just brown until the pink is almost gone.
Add the onions, a teaspoon of ginger, and a teaspoon of garlic salt.
A good splash of Teryaki and a cup of Chardonnay.
Let simmer for a few minutes and then add the green pepper and diced tomatos and a good shake of red pepper flakes.
Cover and reduce the heat.
While the pepper steak simmers, make some minute rice. When the rice is done, serve the pepper steak over the rice with fresh Italian bread and butter.
A nice glass of the rest of the Chardonnay tops it all off.
Enjoy!
