At 11:00 Tuesday morning, my father in law will be undergoing triple (possibly quadruple) bypass surgery. Please, if you have a moment, say a prayer for him and my family. We need all we can get.

Be sure you and Mr. SG get some rest in between hospital visits. These things can take a toll on the family and you need to be sure that you are staying well while your dad/dad-in-law is recuperating. Still thinking of you all and praying for a positive result.

They bumped his surgery back to 1:00 yesterday afternoon, and I apologize for not updating sooner....I literally collapsed into sleep last night. He pulled through with flying colors and is currently recovering in the CICU at the hospital.
I want to thank you all, most deeply and sincerely, for all of your kind words, thoughts and prayers. We needed them so very much and it means just the world to me.

He came home Saturday and he seems to be doing very well. I have been elected helper/chef/general pain in the butt (lol) for his recovery period so I may be a lil scarce until he gets up and around more independently. Right now my biggest challenges seem to be getting him to do his walking around stuff and using his spirometer. Other than that I take meals to them daily and help with his medication schedule and general house items his wife needs help with. I am so thankful he is home and still with us....apparently he got to the folks that could help him at the last possible moment for a successful outcome. Whew. I sure do appreciate all of your support here...it helps more than you could possibly know
