Come on Sheriff, buy your department a real police motorcycle!! I had to laugh the other day driving through Centreville.. I noticed an unusual looking motorbike coming at me from the opposite direction. Closer inspection revealed a dapper young fella in a Sheriff's office uniform (Sergeant stripes) riding a tricked out dirt bike in Sheriff's office colors.. Now I suppose there is a good reason for such a vehicle, but don't you think the image would be improved on a real motorcycle... ie.. Harley Davidson Police Special.. Come on Sheriff, buy the Sergeant a Harley.. he looked kind of sheepish riding the dirt bike with saddle bags.. made the bike look like it had training wheels on it. Best regards, BC PS, in spite of all the negative vibes on this forum (some of which I suspect come from your minions) I for one think you have done a great job with your office. Thanks.

Aww... I'm just being facetious calling it a dirtbike... BMW, SCHMEE MW.. It doesn't look like a real police motorcycle.. And the sound of it rumbling as it went past me was more like a whimpy honda with one of those fart cans on the tailpipe..
Anyway, I'm just kidding about the whole thing.. it just made me laugh the other day when I saw it. I suppose one could argue it was purchased to patrol the bike trail, but I suspect the amount of time it is needed on the bike trail is insignificant. Plus, a Harley could ride the bike trail just as easily on the infrequent occasion it might be needed.
Best regards, BC

The BMW off road dirt bike is great on some of our great county tar and chip roads!
