From WNAV:
Proposed QA County Budget Includes Property Tax Reduction:
May 09, 2007 (Centreville, MD) -- A reduction in the property tax rate for Queen Anne's County residents is included in the proposed budget released yesterday by county commissioners. The tax cut is three cents per 100 dollars of assessed property value. The operating budget calls for funds to open the new Matapeake Middle School and expansion of the county-wide ambulance system. The capital budget includes funds for planning the new free-standing emergency room facility in Queen Anne's County. Legislation allowing the county and the University of Maryland to proceed with that project without cumbersome state regulations was passed by the general assembly this year.

I'll save $82. I can take my bride out to the Narrows for dinner. Cool.

Keep my $82 and give it to one of the teachers at Matapeake.

Well, my bride happens to be one of those teachers at KIHS.
But your point is well taken.

I'll take my $85, thank you. I already pay the teachers.
