He has a post count of 1 and comes in to paste a 1500 word article from who-knows-where. rdob First Time Poster Joined: Sept 2009 Gender: Male Posts: 1 Exactly. Um,,, WHAT? He has 1 post, you have 20 in less than a day, if credibilty is measured by post count keep on posting your nonsensical partisan politics crap and maybe you'll get credible? Good luck with that.

Nonsensical? Typical conservative response, not based on any sort of FACT, but on an attack. Some things never change.

What I mean is that I believe that person, Rdob, joined only to post that one long rant without returning to give any further response. I don't think they will be sticking around to continue the discussion. Call it trolling, spamming, whatever you wish, but it isn't "membership".
TruthHurts on the other hand, while not having said a single thing I agree with, is at least here giving back and forth.

Nonsensical? Typical conservative response, not based on any sort of FACT, but on an attack. Some things never change. Not on attack, nonsensical in the fact that SOME people think that because someone else thinks a certain way, they are a member of a certain party. OR because someone is a member of a certain party they think a certain way. Wrong on both counts with me. It's not one party that has gotten us into this mess, it's partisan politics and the elite politicians that are totally out of touch with the people who built, and make this country move.

Not on attack, nonsensical in the fact that SOME people think that because someone else thinks a certain way, they are a member of a certain party. OR because someone is a member of a certain party they think a certain way. Call it what you will, party, group, delusion... substitute the word that fits your situation. The fact remains that things got considerably worse for the US over the past 8 years of Republican rule. This is a fact that is quantifiable and can only be denied by those who aren't aware that it's a river in Egypt. There are indicators that the economy has hit bottom and is beginning to recover across most sectors, we are reducing numbers in Iraq, though Afghanistan is far from over. There's a long way to go, but it will take time to repair the damage done by the Bush years. It's remarkable that it's begun as quickly as it has.

Odd, I thought I remembered a significant number of Democrats in the Legislative body during the Bush years. Guess I must be wrong. I'm probably also remembering incorrectly that it was the Democrats who successfully protected the policies of giving loans to high-risk borrowers who subsequently defaulted on the loans. But I'm sure I must be wrong in thinking that the collapse of the housing/mortgage sector precipitated the collapse of the banking/financial sector and resulted in the mess we have today.
Yep, it was the wars that caused the problems. The unfunded wars that drove up the yearly deficits and the national debt and led us into a recession. The Republicans got us into this mess by spending far more money than we had available; but now, thank ACORN, we have a Democrat in office to fix it. The new game plan: Fix the recession caused by overspending by even more overspending. Spending on national defense = Republican waste. Spending on handouts = Democratic solution.

ACORN got the president elected? Wow. That's one powerful group. Half a country worth of voters are ACORN members! Whodathunk? What got us into this mess? Eight years of Republican policies of filling their pockets and to hell with those who weren't part of their clique. Policies of Governemt stimulus have been used before and, unlike Reaganomics and Trickle Down foolishness, actually work. Personally I'd like to see an increase in work on the country's infrastructure, providing jobs and much needed upgrades to the roads, bridges, power grid, and other areas where we all benefit. Is that the best you can come up with? Trolls can be a hit and run, and they can also be compulsive and a no life person. They troll, and attack, They wait for the moment, and basically they are sad souls, who have nothing better to do in their life. They are sad folks and with the obsession of posting, I feel sorry for them, Simply they do not have a life and play online in the weeeee hours when we are all asleep. -cg

I always chuckle when people get all up in arms defending their position e(specially if it isn't well recieved) and see how quickly it goes down hill to the mudslinging ring or pointing fingers.
Makes me wonder why they get so hot under the collar and can't remain calm, cool and in control....
Most of the time I think it's because they really don't know what they are talking about and when questioned hard and all they can come up with is it's somebody elses fault...
Makes me think that the opinions they are trying to own, are really someone elses!

Frankly, I'm relieved that Truth Hurts has joined us. It can be very draining to try to defend my politics against you guys... Just imagine how you all would feel if you lived in the middle of a town whose majority were liberals. It can get tiring.

Just imagine how you all would feel if you lived in the middle of a town whose majority were liberals. It can get tiring. I bet it sort of feels like living in a State run by liberals, and also like living in a Country run by them. I don't do political discussions at work, because its a bit like beating my head against a wall. I'm "Libertarian" for lack of a better classification, and the vast majority of my co-workers are Die-Hard Republicans "My Party, right or wrong, My Party".
