I wonder how many of them have a clue of what they are protesting against?

It looked like many of the videos were shot by curious college students, and "having a clue" is not a requirement of free assembly.

It looked like many of the videos were shot by curious college students, and "having a clue" is not a requirement of free assembly. But the question was "do they have a clue" not "do they have a right." I watched a lot of coverage about these protest and the thing that struck me was the violence and vandalism. Everyone should (and does) have the right to protest in this country in a civil manner; most of us understand that point. I find it interesting that one, many of these people seemingly had no real idea what they were protesting and two, if pressed on the issue, many of them would probably bash the other side (I believe they are referred to as "mobs," tea-baggers," "townhallers...") who somehow managed to "protest" without rolling dumpsters, throwing rocks and stones, breaking windows, clashing with police (those mean, mean police...) and all the other nonsense captured on video - mostly by themselves... This, I am sure, will raise the ire of some, but please - someone give me a valid reason to see a difference between the two.

Much like the town-hallies, the d-baggers, etc., they have been fed bad information and show up for not much more than the show. Thought and investigation as to the issues at hand are missing.

Do you believe the Government has a conspiracy to give men breast cancer?

Not mine. [Kool-aid is] only served via Fox. Or Camp Lejune (sic)...I normally try to be polite, but you can Go F*** Yourself with that comment. There are more Marines here than you know, and its Lejeune.

Everyone should (and does) have the right to protest in this country in a civil manner ...... without rolling dumpsters, throwing rocks and stones, breaking windows, clashing with police (those mean, mean police In any large protest, you will have the kids wearing all black calling themselves Anarchists who are there solely to cause trouble and break things. When they do enough to get noticed, the Police usually start shutting things down and everyone suffers, because it is too difficult (and dangerous) to wade into the sea of people and only pick out the bad ones. This wasn't the case in PA. The chief of police starting shutting down protests whether they were peaceful or not. That is why you saw so many people acting out. That is the only reason I posted the videos. It this were Seattle '99, I wouldn't have bothered. The clashes with the police in Pittsburgh weren't caused by rioters or vandals, they were caused by their chief of police.

RobMoore - I completely understand and did not mean to question your reason for posting. I was just commenting about the issue of "what" they were protesting. As for Camp Lejeune - thanks for stating it the way I felt it...Semper Fi!

Understood. I may not agree with their politics, but I felt they should be heard nonetheless.

Dude - you are way off base with a comment like that. I mean way, way off base. Looks like a couple others put you in your place for this and I say good for them (and their service.)
