There've been several different things noted - apparently he had a history of seizures, may have had Kawasaki Syndrome (which apparently can result in a form of heart disease) and there was one thing I read that he may have had some sort of developmental disability. Whatever, my heart aches for any parent who loses a child.

Here's the news story so far...
NASSAU (Reuters) - The teenage son of actor John Travolta died suddenly on Friday during a family vacation in the Bahamas, according to the family's lawyer. Jett Travolta, 16, suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island, attorney Michael Ossi said. Attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene, Ossi said. Jett, who had a history of seizures, was the eldest child of Travolta and his wife, actress Kelly Preston. They also have a daughter, Ella Blue, who was born in 2000. (Reporting by John Marquis; editing by Jane Sutton and Mohammad Zargham)
I don't care who you are.....losing a child is a terrible, awful, horrid loss...my heart goes out to any and all that have to live with this type of event.

Having lost a daughter from SIDS during her infancy I know the hurt first handed. She would be in her 30's today, when the anniversary of her death comes there are always tears and thoughts of lost dreams. My heart goes out to the Travolta's during this tragic time. Life is fragile and having a child who has been sick their whole life seems so unfair. But life does go on and parents like like the Travolta's give a child that special foot up in life. They loved Jett you can see it in pictures they have shown of Jett, Kelly, John and Ella Blue. The pain is so differant so real so deep.
