Hope you have been to the "Night of 100 Elvises" in Baltimore (held in Dec to benefit Hopkins Children Center). We've been twice, and it's a hoot. I'm not even an Elvis fan, but I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for an unusual evening of entertainment.

VERY campy event, but there are some very talented "Elvises" (or, "Elvi" as we call them). ;D There are impersonators of all types (we even saw a female Elvis, just to name one) and all talent levels. There are three floors in the Lithuanian Hall, few tables or seats, so you sort of wander around. But, that's really worth it because you see different things all over. It's just a total hoot. www.nightof100elvises.com/Only 300 days till the next one, per the website.

You made me laugh.. it reminded me of an encounter a few years back.. I was driving down 95 headed to Florida. Riding along in a state of turnpike trance.. when all of a sudden this Lincoln Continental passes me by with a guy driving that looks like Elvis! And he had one of those clothes hangers stretched across the back seat of the Lincoln that was loaded with sequined costumes..
I had to speed up to get a better look.
Holy mayonnaise and banana sandwich Batman.. it was Elvis!!
Cracked me up..
But, I have to admit that recently Elvis was added to my XM satellite radio.. I find myself listening to it regularly. The guy really was awesome.
Best regards, Glenn

Best regards, Glenn I would have driven into a ditch if I had been behind that Lincoln....sounds to me like ya'll need to organize a trip over the bridge this December to Lithuanian Hall! Ok, this is probably a little inappropriate, but Mr. BC, you might also appreciate. In 2007, the last time we attended (Mr. McBeth and a bunch of friends from church), we also took my husband's 70-ish sister. One of the "Elvi" took a liking to her and danced almost on her lap (imagine, an "Elvis lap-dance"). Well, sis-in-law, for her age, has a GREAT sense of humor and was giggling the entire time. She is a great sport. I will never forget that night if I live to be 200 because it was just one of those serendipitous moments in time when you have too much fun. With friends from church...just too much of a giggle.... Have I convinced anyone to make plans for next year?? ;D We were so sorry to miss last year, but the fates conspired against us. (But, we hope to attend again this December!)
