I am in need of getting my septic tank pumped out. Any suggestions or recommendations on the best local company to go with? I believe it is just a simple pump out. We have not been having any problems, just lived in our house for about 3 years and haven't had it done yet.

Just call around and get the cheapest price. doesn't really matter who does it, it's very simple. If you look in The Update one of the companies ususally has a $50 coupon (might be Ruth Bros.). I used them and had no problems. However, I will say that the two guys that did the work didn't have a nicest personalities around but I guess if I did that job I wouldn't be in the best of moods either.
Also, be aware that all of them will "suggest" that you get them to install a riser. They do this because they don't like digging it up every time. Tell them no thanks. If they don't want to dig they can charge extra for it. Until then, I'm not paying them to make their job easier.

I had a company in Chestertown pump out ours...super nice guys....Greens Septic Service 410-778-5480. Oh...and their price was less then all the other ones I called at the time (this was 2 years ago)

I can't remember...but it was less then a quote I got from others that called me back later after I had already had Greens come and pump it out. Some of them took 3 days to call me back... If you call them....they will tell you how much over the phone.
