It's always the "Anonymous Guest" that has the wonderful experience. I think I'll wait to hear it from someone credible before trying it again.

well, i posted elsewhere, but we just got back from their st. patty's weekend special--any entree for 10$ if you had 4 or more people, half-price margaritas, discounts if you were wearing green, discount if you were a member. we made out well, had good food, good service. no complaints.

went to r's tonight with a friend. had the 99 cent rgaritas and some free tacos--just fine. started getting really crowded, had caricaturist for kiddies, band sounded good but too loud. all in all a fun time. looks like they are shaping up, huh?

R's food is definitely much better - -they are certainly trying, but I think they need to take a serious look at how it's being managed. The past several times I've been there, they have been severly under staffed. It's too bad that the kids that take these jobs can't be more responsible and not call out sick all the time (heard other waiters apologizing for the delay). They do have some hard working kids in there now - - - hopefully this will help them with the service issue --it's tough to be an effective manager without dependable employees --oh - -and a little suggestion: replace the plastic cups for margaritas with real glass ones. Keep up the good food - we want R's to make it!

I agree- last two times our waitress was good-a little slow with the drinks, but I don't go out to race through my meal-I just love the banana margarita's so much, I want it quick!Food was really good, and it's a nice place to go with friends-I hope they do make it as well.

I ate at R's tonight -- food was great - service was great - - but drinks were really slow and I'm stumped as to why. The place was not busy and the bar was empty. I watched the waiter turn the drink order in and then got frustrated waiting and said something to the bartender in order to get the drinks for his/her table. Seems like the problem at R's is the bartenders. Again - food was great and so was the service -- just get the bartenders hopping a bit and things will be on track. Keep up the good workl.

I am gonna throw in my 2 cents again. The last time I ate there, I remarked on how mediocre the food was. Welllllll....THIS time....(sit down gang)...my food was GREAT! There was a definite improvement in the flavor and quality. A most NOTICEABLE improvement! Now, once again, I used the curb-side pick up..I didn't have a service issue at all!! LOL But, seriously, the staff I did speak with were VERY friendly and informative and helpful (they didn't have an item I had ordered and called me with their suggestion for a substitution). Normally, I can't finish everything I order...been that way for years...this time, I actually, nearly made myself uncomfortable trying to eat all of it...and mmmmm...WOW! I am pleasantly surprised and delighted with the meal I got and will go back again. The only thing I would offer, in the event that anyone there is reading this....PLEASE bring back the sopapillas!! The churros are ok...but are missing that certain.."something". The attention to detail and flavor that was shown on the entree sort of slacked off at the dessert..it wasn't bad...just...very, very...ordinary.

My name is Eric Clough, I'm the bar manager at R's and I'd like to address some of the comments made. I understand what you're saying about the plastic cups, but we've had a hard time with glass theft in the restaurant and we use hand blown glasses that are made in Mexico so as you can imagine it takes quite some time to get new ones to us here. As for the drinks being a little slow delivery time is something I will work on increasing, but also realize most of the drinks on our menu are somewhat time intensive such as margaritas, mojitos, mexican mojitos, and frozen drinks but I will do my best to alleviate this problem and get drinks to you guys faster. As for the sopapillas I will certainly pass that along to the chef I certainly appreciate your comments, questions, and concerns as it is very helpful in is rectifying any problems we may have and we are eager to hear everyone's opinions on how we can improve. If anyone has any other questions, comments, or concerns feel free to e-mail me at eclough82@hotmail.com or come and see me at the bar

Just like to say, that Eric, is a wonderful bar manager/bartender. We were all in on Mother's Day, and our first drinks were made by a new bartender as our waiter stated-who by the way was great-wish I remembered his name-anyway, they took forever, and weren't that great to tell the truth-but, we gave him/her a break and took a chance at round #2-they were FANTASTIC!! We looked over at the bar to see what the difference was, we are thinking it was Eric as he was there this time but not the previous?
Just wanted to express my thoughts on the fact that he spoke up re:this thread, and has taken the time to explain and commit to keeping an eye on the complaints and putting in a request for a customers favorite dish to return. Now that in my opinion is a manager! Keep up the good work Eric-I for one, thank you-
(from the lady who knocked on the window on our way out!!) if you remember----

Yes you are correct that bartender Andrew was there on short notice as I had the regular bartender not show up. Andrew is still training and was kind enough to fill in temporarily so that I may attend my mother's day family dinner. And yes I do remember you and I certainly appreciate the kind words on the drinks and hope to see you again soon.

It has taken too long for me to get to R's but I went there tonight and I am very glad I did.
We sat at the bar so I don't know how the service was in the restaurant. I don't know if it was Eric bartending, but whoever it was he was very good. Our drinks were very well made and the bartender was very attentive. The chips were warm, the salsa was great, the food was hot and tasty. There may have been problems in the past, but I experienced none of them while I was there.
We will definitely be going back to R's!
