My Fiance and I are planning a wedding and the date we picked it turns out is the saturday before Easter. We've called a few churches in the area and they flat out refuse to entertain the idea.
Does anyone know a church in the area that might allow a wedding Easter saturday? My Fiance wants a church wedding and we like the date we picked because of work schedules.
We've talked to St Peters and KI United Methodist.

i understand the wanting a church wedding... but have you guys considered doing something in an alternate location & inviting clergy?? I guess it's a matter of this... does your fiance want the church wedding for the ambiance, experience, etc or is it that your fiance wants to bring God into your ceremony. There are clergy that will come off site... not sure if they will that Saturday though, but you never know.
I mean you can really have a nice, nice ceremony not at a church & still have beautiful ambiance - but again it's really personal preference.
But again I'm not sure on the day because of Easter... but if interested in an alternate location, I can put you in contact with my pastor, he may be able to help you out.
Does your fiance have a church that they belong to? Just thinking alot of times, that would be a good start.

Shorti, Thanks for the info. She wants a Church wedding because she wants to bring god into the ceremony. She belongs to a Catholic church across the bridge. They can't/won't do services on Easter saturday. Also we are limited to the Eastern shore because I'm pretty sure we are going to end up at the legion for the reception. Don't want to make the trip across the bridge to come from the ceremony. Never know if there will be a major accident and reception is ruined because no one could make it over.
Otter. I'm going to call them this am. Thanks for the info.
