If you want the Best Prime Rib get the end cut at Annies. This is the die for!

Annies, really? I've eaten there before and it was ok. I haven't tried the prime rib yet.

Just ask for the End Cut, It will have very little fat and taste like better than any steak you have had. Most people never heard of an End cut. Annie is know for there steak, Kentmorr for ?

The BEST prime rib is at the Fisherman's Inn. I've never had a bad or even mediocre piece. Always great.

I'll have to try Fisherman's again. I only ate there once and thought that it was really aweful. Maybe I just got them on a bad night. Harris was pretty bad too.

Well, I tried the Love Point Cafe'. It was terrible. If you are going to sell a $35.00 plate of food, make sure it's hot. The least they could do is have the same light bulbs in the lighting fixtures. That place is a dump.

Wow! You must have caught Love Point on a bad day. I have always gotten a great meal from them. They aren't cheap, but it is one of my fav's. The 'Stuffed Shrimp' is amazing. Maybe the chef was out sick?!? What a shame...!

I don't mind paying for a good meal but I left wishing I would have gone somewhere else. The garlic mashed potatos were so thick and starchy I couldn't eat them. I don't want to bash them, they must have had an off night.

I will second that, Love Pointe is great. Look at the Stuffed Shrimp and Chesapeake Steak. Also there is always coupons buy one get one free floating around. That makes it a great deal. Dump, no way just charm. The food is always done right.

I know, all my friends love the place and said I would enjoy it. That's why I think they must have had an off night. They do need to upgrade the interior of that place though. It's like they are caught between a fast food joint and a really nice cafe.

Never been there, but maybe it's time? I've heard of cracks in antique furniture giving it "Character" but I've NEVER heard a place being a dump being it's charm... That's a good one!

I could be wrong on this, but as a cafe, it's more about being quaint than fancy. Asthetically there is no doubt that The Narrows is more fancy, but Love Point just has that small town charm. I'm not just saying that because they advertise here - because they don't - but I really like the place. (and they should advertise here...!)

I understand what a cafe' is but there shoudn't be a reason for having garage lights with different bulbs in the main dining area. You also shoudn't have windows shades that are missing the shade while the rings and hardware hang from the window. The place could be a lot nicer with a few hundred dollars invested. I don't want to drop $100 for dinner and eat under garage lights. I could drop that kind of money at much better restaurants.

Kentmorr is good but not for the prime rib-you can get a queen or king cut but i have found it to be very fatty-you don't get what you pay for in that dept.-they do have great wings-get them with the pepper parm dressing-also they do great seafood and when the crabs are in-they have some of the best around-i agree with Alex-Annie's is the place for prime rib-hope you had a good meal!!

For the same price you can go to the Narrows that not only has a view but it's cleaner and has better food. I was a Love Pointe customer for a few years until a few months ago when they REALLY pissed me off. Now I just stay a the Narrows

kentmore's prime rib, Q= $20.99; K=$24.99; annie's Q= $19.99, k=$24.99; Quality, no comparison, annie's wins hands down. Annie's has a great value on their 10 oz sirloin, $ 18.99.

I eat out a lot (can't cook other than pasta!). My take on the area restaurants:
Narrows - Great service and a good menu of a lot of different fish dishes. Crab cakes and cream of crab are amazing. Watch out for the specials - ask for the price before ordering. I had a $40 lobster tail there once...
Annie's - Service is sometimes spotty, but a huge menu and great all around. The Crab imperial dish is amazing, as are the steaks. Sunday brunch is amazing, but expensive. Prices are good on steaks, but the seafood can get expensive.
Fisherman's - Reasonable prices and large portions. The steaks are always really good and the seafood is good, but not on the level of some other area places. It gets very crowded and is a tourist hot spot, so I avoid it in the summer.
Crab Deck - Nice views and good service, but the food is mediocre and the bar serves everything in plastic cups. Lousy beer selection too.
Harris Crab House - Great views, but a tourist destination and way too crowded. Long wait to get in a lot of the time. Service is great considering the crowds. The crabs are pricey and often not local or light. The rest of the food is fried stuff and the cream of crab is like Jell-O.
Big Bat's - The food is probably all pre-packaged Sam's Club stuff, but the pub food is ok and the bar has a nice selection. The service is always very good too.
Sheridan’s - A good place to bring kids, and many people do, but other than that the food is just mediocre. The scampi is good and the sandwiches are very good though. Large portions and good service though.
Kentmorr - Some of the food here is great, like their unique crab cakes and the hard crabs when in season. The soups are very good too. The ribs are hit and miss, and the same goes for the steaks. Never bad, but not consistent. I stick with the seafood and always leave happy. A lot of families come here, so you have to be ok with the occasional screaming child, etc.
Love Point - They are going through an ownership change, so I'm sure that it will improve in a few weeks. They started out great, but the last few times that I went there my food was burned on the bottom. The service is great and the beer & wine selection is really good. The soups are great and the specials are unique and were always very good up to recently.
Hemmingway's - I have only tried the 3 times. The service was great, but I found the place to be very dirty and the food was about the same as Fisherman's, but twice the price. It's a tourist place anyway, because I don't know any locals that go here.
Hillside Crab house - The best place to go for hard crabs. Good prices and they are always meaty. The soups are very good to, and great service. The non-touristy crab house.
The Jetty - Fun atmosphere but that's about it. The sandwiches and wraps are good, but everything else is mediocre. Service has always been slow, both at the bar and at the tables. Still, a fun place to spend a Sunday afternoon...
Just my $0.02

Wow, You hit it on the head except for LOve Point. Service has always been good for me but since they stopped taking the two for one coupons I would rather go to the Narrows or Annies. There prices are way to high for the quality of food and location.I used to go 2 -3 X per month now never.I need to try the Hillside again. I like AYCE crabs. Last time I went they can up light about the same as the Jetty ( never again). other than that I agree with you. Good review.
