Has anyone had any luck with Verizon?? My next door neighbor just switched from Atlantic BB and here started the problem. They came out to disconnect them and some incompetent IDIOT disconnected US instead! So all day, NO TV or internet here because the idiot never took the time to see who was being disconnected. When I called they acted like it wasn't their fault and I was told I was LUCKY to even get an appointment today! Time to switch, we pay them way too much every month to be treated like we are not a valued customer. Anyone else treated this way??

I got rid of Atlantic Cable and went with Direct TV. 100% happy. For the same price or less you get a lot more and a better picture. Plus they have RF receivers. Atlantic could care less when I cancelled 40 days ago and I still didn't get my refund check! If you call for service they re glad to help vs Atlantic. As far as internet I had Verizon and never again and I was given 6 months free to stay and still left. Almost everyday my service would go down, always around noon. So if you need your computer for work you are SOL. Atlantic is better for this but $$$ for anytime but snail mail.

Yes, their support is really, really horrendous. They keep really bad records on the IP addresses they issue, its really pathetic. DirecTV support is really good in comparison, but the speed that ABB provides is good (when it works)

Half of the problem is there customer service. Just walk into the Grasonville location and they look at you as if you had two heads. Maybe if they would turn off the soap opera's that could get there attention. They act as if they are doing you a favor. So glad I got rid of there TV service. Next internet as soon as someone else comes in.

we switched a while back - both tv & internet - and we've not had any problems on service. Ok, well the hubby moved the dish when he put up the Christmas lights, so we were without the HD channels for a week... but we still had all the others & we don't have an HD tv so what's it matter at that point???

Ok, so what does internet and tv with 2or3 receivers run you with DTV? The problem I had with them 10 years ago was little or no signal during storms.

Since I live up here in the hinterlands I cannot get cable, DSL, FIOS, or even a sideways glance...
I have had DirectTV for about three years.. Loss of signal with storms is very rare. Maybe it has something to do with dish aiming and trees or other stuff slightly impeding satellite signals.. ??
It's all too expensive. I am stuck with DirectTV for TV service. I could get cable, but the cable guys want me to pay to run the cable to my house... about a half mile!! A couple thousand bucks!!
For internet, I use Verizon's USB aircard.. (mobile broadband). 3G. Works pretty well.. They now have 4G but I don't think I can get any signals up here..
BTW, I really like the aircard.. I can move it from desktop to laptop and take it wherever...
Best regards, BC

wow, we use abb just for internet and phone and have never had a problem. I stop in once a month to pay the bill, and am always treated courtesly and efficiently.......
We have direct TV nigh on 6 years now, and we used to have major issues losing service during storms, or even a light summer breeze it seemed..... Had them come out and found out that the dish was defective, improperly installed yadda, yadda yadda, so I got a new dish and two new recievers and etc. all for nothing and a new install, and haven't had a problem since, not even during the bad wind storms last week...
two reciever, plus hd, plu premium choice and occasional pay per view moview or on demand and my bill is rarely over 100 or so give or take 30....

Have Atlantic BB for internet, Direct TV for television. Cancelled Verizon Internet. It was a nightmare. Have had no problems with ABB and Direct TV.
