The sheeple will say, "if you have nothing to hide, so what, they're doing it for our safety". I posted that this was going to happen, and I now predict you home will be scanned next. Your bedroom, and bathroom activity will be viewed by BIG BROTHER. I say this is a violation of our rights. What say you.

Hmmmmm, I missed the part of the article about my mothers car being scanned. I did read the part about it being used in Ports and Airports, though. Makes sense to me!
Maybe you should run for President in 2012?

The story didn't say they were ONLY being used at ports.
It also said that if someone were to walk by the van within 10 feet, there could be health concerns.
If these vans are going to be used in a clandestine manner about the city, there is a great chance for a citizen to receive a "larger than safe" dose of radiation unintentionally.
Xray vans have been around for a while. If you suspect a vehicle has a bomb, the idea is that you drive up next to it, scan in, and find out. The downside is you have to pay some schmuck to drive it. When the terrorist, who is watching his bomb-laden vehicle, sees the white unmarked van pull alongside......boom.
We don't need this technology. There are better ways of handling business that don't take us one step further to a police-state.
