how's this!? i was buying a gift online. when i was about to click to pay, i got a page that said i had to spend 20$ (my gift was 18). of course, i emailed the company to asked them what was up with that. this is the response: Hello and thank you for the email. "Years of research confirmed, that 97% of complaints came from those that spent less than $20. They proved to be the most challenging, time consuming and costly customers to please. Thank you for reinforcing the facts of our research-and for doing so before you even purchased anything! :-) " i'm blown away!

I laughed.
They must be doing well if they can be so quickly dismissive of customers.
I wonder if their statistician took into account that perhaps 97% of complaints come from customers who spend $20 or less because most of their customers in general spend less than $20.

it's not likely to be a place where you will shop, but here it is:
moose-r-us. com, or attic moose antiques llc, in minnesota (please no moose jokes! they have a lot of different things there, ranging from small gifts to furniture and such.)

In situations like this, I normally try to find the 800# for the company and when I get bored I call it and let it sit off the hook for as long as possible. The company with the 800# pays the usage for you calling them. It is sort of juvenile, but at least I would get the satisfaction of them having to pay for me calling.
But for Moose R Us no toll free number. Oh well.

i did not see the 20$ min at all--on the page i was on or anywhere. when i went looking yesterday, i finally found it under their terms and conditions page or whatever. they put their 5$ mailing fee right out there, but not the 20$ thing. it came as a surprise. there were further emails, because it was just too amazing for me to not keep writing. most bizarre set of emails i think i've ever seen. none of it made sense--very illogical, etc. she even said i could surely buy a gift somewhere else and i should go there! she told me i never intended to buy anything, etc., and i could never quite make her understand that i had every intention of doing so, had gone to the click to pay thing, and did not buy only because she would not let me! she kept saying i was complaining before i ever bought anything! oh well. kept me laughing for awhile, albeit giftless!

I would be in the same boat as you...She is an idiot...her email was disrespectful and if enough people get those emails she will not be in business anymore because as she says...there are other places to buy things. She is one of those type people who must thrive on drama...
