what side is everyone one? Are you with the Players or the Owners?
Personally I have been struggling with which side I agree with more. With having Steeler tickets, I am for a 18 game season, as I am already paying full price on the Preseason. On the other hand, the owners claim they are losing money but not opening their books to quantify that statement. I think everyone agrees there should be a Rookie cap.
thoughts?

My issue is paying for two preseason games, and paying the same price as regular season. I don't need 18 regular season games, I just think they should eliminate to preseason games. 16 game season seems right to me. Paying $90 a ticket for two glorified practices is criminal.
As far as what side to be on.... rich owners and rich players threatening to not have a season this year is a joke. Like they don't have enough money...

I think they're both wrong. if the owners were losing money they'd be out of business by now.
Players make plenty, they need to shut up and play, or go home.
On the tickets...
I'd have season tickets for the Ravens, probably since they 1st came to town. I won't buy a license in order to buy tickets, THAT SHOULD BE CRIMINAL.

There are 2 reasons that football players make a ton of money: 1. If they're good enough for the BIG contracts, a franchise player per se, then fans in other cities are more likely to attend those games to see the star player. So, they sell more tickets and merchandise. 2. These are young, talented powerhouse players that have to retire typically in their early 30's due to the physical and mental damage they have incurred that will stay with them forever. It's hard to put a price tag on that.

However I will point out that my PSL's cost me $750 each back in 1996. They are worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $4,000-$5,000 each now. So I'm not complaining too much at this point

I do find it funny that the owners complain about how much money the players make, yet they are the ones giving out the contracts. If they didn't want to pay that much to the players all they would have to do is not pay that much to the players. See the irony???

all I can say is they (either side) can't "afford" to strike or sit out a season. They need to remember first and foremost who is responsible for them having a job in the first place. The Fan!

Do I have this right..........billionaires and millionaires fighting over money! So today I past the Easton Airport and noticed an "unusual" number of jets...some really big ones and a few "smaller" ones. I decided to stop on the way back and ask Mr. WL if they were having some kind of Fly-In today. It was the NFL owners and the rest of the players and attorneys for both sides...WOW!!! Right there in front of me were the team jets for the Chargers, the Chiefs and the Patriots...the others did not display team logos that were noticeable to me, but there were at least 10 of them on the airport property. They must have conducted their meetings somewhere close...heard some rumors about the Tidewater Inn in Easton or maybe the Hyatt in Cambridge...who knows! Who really cares, I know. The most impressive plane was that of the San Diego Charges. I can't remember what kind my husband said it was, probably because my brain went into shock when he told me it cost in excess of 60 Million Dollars!!!That's really something to think about when many of us have a hard time justifying the cost of a ticket, parking, a hot dog and a beer...

I would have no problem missing the preseason games so I can at least get two of the games refunded to me for the season. I am thinking if they do not get this figured out by early July games will be missed. Just figure the contracting, free agents, etc. that will need to start once the CBA is handled.

Do I have this right..........billionaires and millionaires fighting over money! EXACTLY!! hit the nail on the head there!!! it's insane!!! i defer my comments because this is just ridiculous! Players: you get paid MILLIONS plus your oh crap what are they called, i literally just blanked the money you make from wearing a product... wow... anyway - you get that too & that's where the big money comes in! Owners: reallY??? seriously? you make BILLIONS off those you pay MILLIONS!! UGH!! Get a grip - come back to reality - suck it up - economy sucks - us real people understand that... geesh!

It's typical union labor vs. management. Those guys better suit up and play soon or there are a thousand other guys that will take the turf in a heartbeat in these players' place. We will still see some great football. Ever see Shane Falco playing in 'The Replacements'? -lol
