People, learn how to use a traffic circle! They're designed to maximize traffic flow over a 4 way stop or traffic light.
A few points.....
- You yield to traffic "in" the circle, meaning you don't pull out in front of another car, even if you have been waiting longer.
- If there is a continuous flow of traffic from one side of the circle, that's just the way it is sometimes, yield to traffic in the circle.
- Yielding to traffic "in" the circle, doesn't mean you sit and wait for a car that is moving on the other side of the circle, you can go.
- You don't have to wait for a car to your left that got there before you, if they haven't moved yet, you can go.
Thank You! Friends of the KIB, aka the Kent Island Beltway!

One more rule: Never stop in the circle. Once in the circle, you have the right of way. It kills me to have the driver in front of me stop in the circle to let another car in. I understand courtesy, but it really just slows it down for everyone. Keep it moving and everyone will get through it.

Traffic circles were made for those who do NOT know how to use a multiple stop sign intersection. Oh and to completely confuse the older person...yep they stop...yep they pull out...and yep the go around more then once...look kids Big Ben and Parliament...
sorry..I am just in one of those kind of moods...

Followed a car off 50 by the McD's one time, they stopped at the circle, there was no car in sight, I was about to toot the horn.....they turned left the wrong way.

People really have no clue mj... I'm convinced of this. I've seen people do that too but never even stop, I guess that few seconds it takes to go all the way around the circle is just too much. I've nearly been struck multiple times at the circle near Crackerbarrel, people just have no clue how to use them. Edit: I have this hanging on my office wall... thank god we don't have these here.

Must have been the same car that I saw do it at the Thompson Creek circle...I almost went around the right way to beet him to the turn..but had my son in the car and decided to be the responsible adult...

Another rule: If you're approaching a circle, and see another car approaching from the other side, don't speed up trying to "win" the right of way......also don't throw your hands up in the air if you don't win, acting like they cut you off.
Boohoo, you lost 2 seconds worth of time, now you're angry to boot.

Having fun one sunny day last week we took the circle for 5 laps, or more. A VERY strong look by the Police Officer who just happened to pull up ended that and off we went laughing all the way home. Don't know how long he was there for , but our bellies hurt from laughing.. hehehehhe

Surprised he didn't pull you over and issue a ticket for obstructing traffic.
