;D
Just wanted to let you all know, that JPJ coffee's grand opening is the 16th of Feb, 8-12. We will be giving away a free biscotti with every purchase (while they last).
We also have added 2 types of wraps, turkey, roast beef and one tuna pita.
Real Italian Gelato, all natural, etc.
For breakfast we now have real NY style (boiled first) bagels & cream cheese.
If any of ya'll have ideas to make our shop better (hours, items etc) please let us know, while we cannot always change everything however we will certainly try to be accomodating.
We are also available for any type of group functions that want to meet in the evenings. Book clubs or some such. We would like to be an integral part of the community-

Cool! I haven't been in there yet because I thought that it was just a coffee place, and I'm not a coffee drinker. Do you make the bagels there? How about tea / chai? I'll be in on Saturday for breakfast.

where is this place? My friends and I have always wanted to start a local game club for Scrabble, people could meet for cards or other boardgames too. We have always wondered where we could meet.

We make the wraps and pitas on premises but the bagels we pick up every couple of days (just like our pastry). All our products are top of the line with a not so top of the line price. ( ;D). We have excellent organic Chai and various other teas.
We'd be more than happy to host a scrabble or game night, come on in and we can discuss it.

Hello Islanders ;D,
Just to keep everyone up to date, the JPJ shops are adding Panini's this month and fresh baked cookies. We have adjusted our hours we opne at 7 am now. We moved the gelato to centerville in our new shop as it was not selling on KI. The shop in C'ville has an upstairs room with rattan furniture and coffee tables in case anyone would like to relax up there. We are coming out with our menus next week and hopefully our new gift cards and preferred customer cards (10% discount). We have not raised prices even though we are paying more for all our supplies because we think it is better to take the long view and hope that prices will come down a bit.
In all our shops (we have a drive thru on Ft Meade), we have added real fruit smoothies and espresso frappes (my favorite).
We will gladly host functions, cater, whatever the community wants.
For the 4th of July weekend we are planning to collect coffee purchases to send to GIs overseas. Each year we do this. In case you didn't know on our website one can purchase coffee to be shipped overseas too. As part of our charitable work we have been shipping coffee overseas to our armed forces for over 5 years. At this point the shops are not making any money so Dan, Herb and I pay for it ourselves most of the time. This past year we also supported a number of charities including the PTA, Churches and a few other groups. I hope that you can all help us become the neighborhood shop that isn't just in it for the buck but supports the community too.
BTW, if EVER your puchase is not to your satisfaction we will fix it or give you money back.
Thank you all for your support-
joe

Oh Yeah, and our fruit smoothies! Thanks,. Joe I'm glad to hear the frozen sandwiches are gone. I've only been to you guys once and ordered an egg and cheese sandwich... I was very disappointed when I found out it was just a frozen sandwich nuked... Had I wanted that, could have gone to a 7/11. I think I'll give you guys another try this Wednesday for lunch.

The second and third times, they knew how to make one...but didn't have the "stuff" to make one with I am going again this morning and I shall attempt a fourth order. Hopefully I will be able to come back on here and *drool* appropriately over it!! ;D

I went there for the first time last week. I was not impressed at all. The coffee wasn't special or out of this world nor was the service.

I went there for the first time last week. I was not impressed at all. The coffee wasn't special or out of this world nor was the service. I always have the Chai Tea...the first time it was Fantastic....the second time..the girl did not know to put steamed milk in it and it was gross...the third time...same girl...I told her to put the milk in it and it was Fantastic again. I also got an egg/bacon croussant breakfast sandwich..which was YUMMY....I have not tried their coffee because I don't think it would be hot enough for me since it is in those thermos's. I have never had a problem with the service...they take your order then make it...not much service to expect there. Barb

Shorti, Citigurl and Barb are right. Why don't you try to give them a second try? The service and the coffee are wonderful. It surely had to be an "off" day for them. The owners are great and they will listen to any concerns or complaints that you have.
