Tell ya what...we all really do need to do a coffee chat again soon...now that all lives have returned back to normal ....someone say when ...if it's coffee...I am allllllll over it! I had breakfast there the other day. Wasn't that pleased. I guess I like people to put the cream cheese on for me, and bigger bagels...it didn't ahve that "homemade" feeling. The pastries didn't do it for me either.
I'm going to go back though - the coffee is BANGIN.

I like JPJ, the atmosphere is definitely what I'm looking for when drinking a cup'a Joe. Granted, I had no idea what drink to pick because I'm a Folger's gal all the way, I think I made a decent choice with the Chai Tea.

Its worth getting out of the car for the Chai Tea ....had one this morning with a bagel egg and bacon sandwich.... Barb

Right now I'm sitting IN JPJ Coffee on my laptop. They have FREE WI-FI!!!! What is that??? That is the sound of AWESOME. Not to mention their delicious mocha latte I just drank and sugar cookie I just ate. Like, OMG. I'm coming here every time I'm in Centreville for work from now on. This is way too cool for school.

If you ever get up here for lunch...there is a little place called Pickles right on 304 in town...they have yummy lunches...be prepared to take 1/2 home with you. Barb Barb

Oooh Pickles...Me and Dawn at the Court House have gone there a couple times. I work down in the Land Records a couple days a week, just in case anyone was wondering what I was doing in Centreville.

JPJ COFFEE is closing C'ville (anyone want to buy a coffee shop--low priced!). Hi folks, this is Joe. I'm sorry some of you have had poor experiences, as with all things new we've adjusted many things. One is to get Bagels as fresh as possible--I now get them locally every day or so--5 a.m). We are still trying out different pastries and food items--please bear with us. We have added Panninis and I think we will also be changing the furniture this year and adding a music system---we'll see. The recession is stomping on all us small business owners but we are doing all we can. We switched to Canada Dry products because they are more reasonable than Coke when dealing with small business and because I like Ginger Ale. If you have any suggestions at all, we will gladly take em and use em if we can. my email is: joe@justplainjoe.com. We still support our folks in uniform by sending them free coffee (between our charity donations in the community, and to the GIs, and the recession there is not a lot left for development or investment). While our coffee may seem priced as high as other places, remember we always give our regular customers a 10% off everything discount. In short, we live in the community and try to support as much as we can! Thanks, Joe

Thanks, Joe Dammit...you are closing in c-ville...sigh...I guess everyone is hurting at the moment....you would have really given dunkin donuts a run for their money if you would have been able to have a drive through...well at least I can go to Kent Island for my chai tea. If I may say, I am sorry LocalGirl that you didn't think much of our coffee or service. We really push service and most of our folks try pretty hard. Sometimes we have kept young folks on a little longer than we should have when they were not up to par. The reason behind this is we try to teach them more than coffee. We try to teach them some life skills and business skills too (this is why we meet every couple of months as a group for dinner and we discuss various aspects of business etc). Additionally, I saw a comment on here regarding the stainless steel airpots we use. The reason behind this is that coffee left on heat gets stale very rapidly, airpots do not have heaters--so they stay fresher longer. We ask the employees to change them every 2 hours or sooner as needed. We can also heat up coffee with our espresso steamer. As always we are not just concerned with taking your money. We support a whole bunch of causes both locally and nationally, we hire kids from the community, we let them use our computers for homework, we support them in their endeavors and try to teach some life skills, in short we are NOT just some business taking your cash. We are responsible, caring members of our community and our nation. If you have a bad experience I will be MORE than pleased to discuss it, take suggestions or even give you your money back (we offer a complete money back guarantee). I would like to thank all of you who have supported not only us but in particular, America's men and women who serve as soldiers, sailors, marines, airforce and coast guard. BTW, my son is leaving for the Navy in March--I couldn't be more proud.
