Joe, I think that your coffee place here in Stevensville absolutely ROCKS. The people, the service, the coffee, the snacks...top of the line my good Sir! Keep up the good work and I will keep up coming in and drinking all the coffee my lil kidneys can handle!!! Is it the fastest, cheapest cup o' coffee on "The Island"? Nope...do I care??? NOPE It is, without question, the best tasting, friendliest, freshest cup of coffee on "The Island"...and that is wonderful! You are right that when you buy a cup of coffee or anything from JPJ's you are doing more than getting yourself something!! And I LOVE the thought! If you look at it from a "value" standpoint versus a "cost" standpoint...the consumer and the community come out on top every time! Keep up the fantastic work! Your business is a wonderful addition to the community and even if you are having to make some adjustments due to this horrid economy I pray you and all of your employees and all of your families prosper. And YAY for your son!! That is just spectacular!! I couldn't be more proud for you!!!!!! ;D

I only get to JPJ when I am travelling for work over to the Eastern Shore/DE, but the Stevensville location is where I stop on my way to get coffee in the a.m. My coffee has always been delicious, the staff friendly and appeared well-trained (our daughter was a barista for 3 years prior to leaving for college, so we knew the expectations of her shop on her), and my husband the "uber-coffee-snob" was quite taken with your shop there, as well. Never realized there were other locations, so I'm sorry to hear that the economy is rocking ya'll. I hope small business owners can hunker down well enough through this, and can come out ok on the other side. I wish you all well @ JPJ, and will continue to patronize when I'm over on your side of the state!!!

Sorry to hear about the c-ville shop Joe, but I will continue to visit the KI one. In fact, it was on this forum that I first heard about the Milky Way Latte, and now I'm addicted! Still planning on seeing you on Feb. 21 at CaPOOCHino Day! Have sent out press releases, so hopefully it will be in papers this week. Thank you again for your support of the community.

Folks, We truly thank you . It is YOUR support that makes it all worth while. We've had a few glitches this year and the economy is killing us but we're trying to serve the people of the community and not just ourselves. THank you again,.

I'll be stopping in on my way to my appointment on that side of the bridge on Friday! I don't get over all that often, but when I do, this is one of my stops! I know the economy is hurting small businesses, but I hope ya'll are able to weather the storm.

I just want to say Thanks to Joe..he is awesome.
I tried the Strawberry Smoothie with Protein last week and it is great, definitely a meal replacement. It is made with 100% Whey Protein, Vanilla flavor.
I wanted to know the nutritional value of the Smoothie and emailed Joe, his response was almost immediate. I had concerns about the sugar content of the drink and Joe offered to get "sugar free" mix.
I recommend this to anyone who doesn't have time for breakfast and needs a quick tasty drink. It is very filling and helps you get through your day.

I'm so bummed that the Centreville location closed. Before that, I was sad when the Queenstown one did too. Joe is awesome. He always greets you like an old friend. Yeah, they're not cheap because they aren't a "big box" company, but the coffee rules and so does the friendly assistance. Thank you for your service, in more ways than one!

My little bump for JPJ for the day....am sitting here right now after a long day in DE, enjoying a quick check of my work emails (uh...and now my FUN internet stuff, too!) and a really great iced coffee.....
It was a beautiful day for a drive, even despite the clouds part of the day! ;D

I went in there once and was really unhappy with the place. They had no selection of coffee due to it being closing time soon. It was 25 minutes before which to me is not that close. I always felt if a place was open until a certain time they should be fully opened until that time. I got a pumpkin spice latte and my daughter got a hazelnut latte I believe. They both tasted like an ashtray. Something was burnt or something. We threw them both away. The girl was very friendly working there but the guy barely spoke a word to us even when spoken to.

Haven't had a problem from them yet, either, but then again I don't get in there as often as folks who live over there do. Everyone has an "off" day every once in a while, I guess. Oh, and rude of me not to mention when I was typing before, but both of the young ladies (baristas) who were in there today were very sweet, energetic, and polite. Never saw them "slacking" (I was there about 1/2 hour), despite the fact that @ that late time of the afternoon, no one other than I was in there. Had it been me, I probably would have been tempted to goof off.... ;D

You really can't judge a place by one visit. I went the first time and got the best chai tea ever...second time..the girl had no idea of how to make it and it was totally gross...third/fourth etc never had a problem ever again. Maybe you should try it again. I do agree that if a place advertises that they are open until a certain time they should be prepared for business until that time. As for the guy not speaking to you..maybe he had a headache...maybe he had a sick family member and was worried...you just never know. Just a thought...

I agree with Barb... I have had bad service at JPJ's and I have had bad coffee.... But I have been there plenty of time when they were on their game!!! Give them a second chance...
with that said, I have yet to have a good experience with DD. But I keep giving them a try like once a year or so.....

I agree with the above. I had been so looking forward to actually visiting JPJ due to all I heard here. It was just a huge let down, thats all. I think we really need a place to sit down, have a cup of coffee and just relax.

Love their coffee but the bagels that my wife and I had a couple weeks ago I wouldn't feed the ducks. Extremely stale.
