Shoregurrrrrll!!! Let's meet for some biscuits n gravy....my treat.....yummy!! Not too sure they were thinking too clearly when they chose the sight......traffic is gonna b f'd but it'll be the bridges fault...........can't wait for this one!! Thank god holly's is still around!! Dude - Oh I must admit I do love me some biscuits and gravy! You ain't kiddin', traffic is seriously gonna be f'd up there. People don't know what to do with the circle as it is right now. Add in all that traffic.....I see alot of collisions in the future from people coming off of Route 50 right there.

Aye, yae, yae.... In the past week I have already been witness to several near-accidents at the lovely Thompson Creek Circle. Trucks coming out of the Cracker Barrel parking lot at the same time that cars are coming out of both Texaco and Shell, all at the same time that cars are coming around the circle from the highway. At least I can walk from my house to get my biscuits & gravy!!

I see a sign has been put up at DiDinato's newest building near Dundee Avenue saying they are ready to be occupied by of drive through restaurant. Good gosh, how many food places do we need around here anyway?
I believe the builders around here will not be happy until you can jump from roof to roof from the bay bridge to the narrows!

Mr Waterman and DiDinato have no problem throwing these places up but they make sure they live as far away from them as possible and still run their businesses.
Of course if they get too close to where they live they will just buy another multi-million dollar residence away from it all!
Just seems to be getting ridiculous to me that's all. Sometimes I wish they would re-zone some of this commercial property back to residential.

Some will remember before I-97 was built and the few traffic lights on Rt2 we would encounter getting to Baltimore, unless you took 100 from 2 over and up to Bmore.
My point being is that the island will soon look like Severna Park or even worse - Glen Burnie with all the commercial stuff.
I can care less that Cracker Barrel was built... I still can not afford to live on the island or the shore for that matter anymore. all this stuff is being built for tourist just like the Chesapeake Beach Club. I vividly remember when that opened they never advertised on the shore but catered to Annapolis people and their prices sure reflect that too!
I still miss the old island though.

I know so many love the CB here, but I hate seeing that ginormous sign when I come home every night. All I think of, is O LORD i'm on the Jersey TP. Kiguy is right, Rt1, Rt2, Rt50, all looking the same and that's a shame for us folks who live here on what was once truly, a little paradise.

Better a Cracker Barrel Sign than a run down trailer park to welcome folks to the Eastern Shore. At least it's a "country" type establishment and not of a Fridays or Tuesdays

Make that only two. Meat Loaf and Mash potatoes and green beans. Did I mention old fashioned dumplings! I'll be in line with the family on opening day.
My 5 year old practically jumps outa' his seat every time we pass by the place. He knew what it was when there was just a foundation. He said look daddy its Cracker Barrel. I didn't even know what it was. I said how do you know. He said theres the big fireplace!

And for the people who snub their nose at Cracker Barrel like they're too good for the place. Sorry it's not Mortons but this is Kent Island. Most real KIlanders are happy to live the simple life. Yes "simple" to those who complain about how upscale the area has become and un-affordable. Try to find a single family home anywhere outside of Millington or Denton in the 300's. This is still the ideal place for middle class working people looking for a slower pace thats close enough to metropolis to get to work still.

Yeah, so I have heard from some people on here who say they can't afford to live here these days. My point exactly! KI has got the cheapest houses anywhere outside of rural East BF. Then again we do have quite a few 2, 3... maybe even 14 million dollar hovels on the isle

I can't afford it. I live with my mother and I work on the island for a local business and don't make enough money to afford a place on my own. The job market is pathetic - I've sent out hundreds of resumes and have yet to get ONE interview. I have skills but I can't find work. So I think I will end up dying penniless in what is becoming a cesspool instead of laid-back living.
I don't understand why we can't just have a city center with all the crap in one place (like Harbor Plaza in Annapolis) so you don't have to actually SEE it from Rt. 50. Christ are there any working farms LEFT on this island?
Maybe I'll go get a second job....at Cracker Barrel....
