How about Polllese, with pink hardware who refuses to transport a 7 yr old with ADD without being hand-cuffed to the stretcher??
The Board of Ed is coming down hard on that one. Guess it goes as well as the same exact person who refused to do CPR on a young woman in Chester who had b-racial babies? That Civil Suit is also;so being brought forward.
Yup, imagine that, these are the peeps who write such nice things about the Sheriff.
Well he is doing such a wonderful job that he is getting ready to not only man the Sheriff's Office, but also Animal Control...and the speculation is that CPD will shortly follow.
Or Maybe it's the wife beater, or the Rhodes boys who have many women under their belts. Yeah, that will be the first thing that comes out if and when they ever run. There is a list of harassment charges that were never brought out at the last election but the women vow to never let any of them hold a public office.
Or maybe its one of the user's who sits around her house with her hubby and pops pain pills all day. Living off the Counties money for injuries that are fabricated.
You non-believers who have faith in your sheriff are right to do so. It is these few people that sign on with so many guest names. Bring it on. Put you real names out there and stop hiding. Go to the sheriff and make your issues known.
The fact is that many many people are very very happy with the job he is doing. And yes for once things will work perfect for him because the year of the election He will be the President of the Maryland Sheriff's Association. In All Your Faces.
Get a life and do something constructive. Oh yeah, don't be dumb enough to write from your po-po computers. Like it or not you are never going to get rid of the sheriff unless he chodes to go. While your at it call his children and wife and ask them how much time he spends with them? You want the real answer ask those people. But then you cannot hide.

Would not interest you. I have nothing to do with law enforcement and nothing with this county. You would never know or recognize my name.
Only one of many left scorned by past sheriff office candidates and believe me when I tell you that any of these past candidates will start a massive snowball effect that they do not want to start. I am only a lowly civilian state employee and this area has been brushed under the Rhodes rug for many many years. Well it's not going to ever happen again and me along with several others made a pack to never let it happen.
Please think about things before they are said.

We know Lt Foster and his family and he is a nice guy. From what I understand I am not too sure he is going to be to willing to turn a blind eye as to what is going on at the Sheriff Department though. I kind of have my doubts he will fit in with the "good time gang" as Mr Polllease calls them!
Believe me, I have heard Gery state that he really doesn't worry about Pete or what he says, and that's a fact!

well guest, i must be mistaken than. let me think for a second....................hmmm............... a certain sheriffs office employee showed up wearing a rather slinky and revealing outfit and a certain female wasn't too happy about it. ring any bells? yea, plenty of skeletons in that closet.
and why don't they go to the eastern shore police academy? i know this story, as well as, the person in charge there and it has nothing to do with better training.
so you think you figured out who i am, huh? amke sure you're certain before you throw it out there!

You guys aren't being very nice to one another. It is getting very personal now. I think you both might need to go to the "naughty corner" for a time out. And when you do come out, I'd like to see you both apologize to one another! ;D ;D

A couple comments from the peanut gallery..
It seems to me there are a couple of misfits in the Sheriffs department and probably a couple of sore losers from the last election that are intent on discrediting the current Sheriff and his department. THe number of complainers is unknown, but as has been shown on this forum by moderators who can track IP addresses, it is likely only a couple people.
I find it childish and in some cases slanderish.
Every organization in the world has unhappy people. It is impossible to run any organization in a way that makes everybody happy all the time. It's just unfortunate we have a forum like KIO that is being abused and misused as a platform to discredit and spread rumors about the Sheriff and his staff.
If there really are problems with the Sheriff, why don't you complainers take your complaints and allegations of misconduct to the County Commissioners?
What useful purpose do you think continuing to whine on KIO is serving? Do you expect to get votes in the next election?
I don't know about the rest of the readers of this forum, but if I were ever to learn one of the posters here was running for office I would certainly openly campaign against them. The behavior I have witnessed here is not what I expect of a public servant.
Just one minion's opinion..

This is one of the silliest things I've read in a while. Innuendos, vague references to mysterious, but undefined happenings, etc. Some of the dialog here is hilarious - "gee pollease tell us more" or my favorite - "pollease you're hot". Funny stuff!

this has spun out of control.....morale may be low due to the road deputies working so short, msp and bridge cops handling more calls ... again, county is short staffed, put some folks on the road. Rule 1 leadership school.....TAKE CARE OF YOUR PEOPLE! without them, the job won't get done. Their will be bumps in the road, but you don't sell your folks down the river just because you can...........May not be a bad idea to start a county police dept...or at least get better salaries for the deputies. One can never win an war of attrition, lots of folks been fired -n- hired or just plain quit recently...why is that?
not sure, but the questions need answers...not spin, direct honest answers.

Well said, unfortunately it starts at the top and there is no common sense up there! When you are self centered and do not care about any of your people and only getting re-elected it will catch up with you sooner or later!
WHAT GOES AROUND WILL EVENTUALLY COME AROUND ;D

Questionnaires, I saw one. PFS, did you notice how every question had a positive tone until it came to the drug question? It switched tenses. Anyone who was trying to fill it out quickly or wasn't paying attention may accidently state they think we DON'T have a drug problem.

bad.....just bad!! As a law enforcement type, one should not worry about public opinion..ever..just do what's right and protect the people you were hired to protect...making friends ain't part of it, but a nice benefit of doing A GOOD JOB. gimmicks, gadgets and b.s. doesn't do it. Taking care of your folks, being out and visible and PROACTIVE is the way to do ...fight crime, don't try to solve everyone's problems....curb violence and the drug problem, the rest will take care of itself. the tighter one squeezes and tries to hold on, the more will slip through ones fingers........

Crime is out of control in Grasonville and Cloverfields according to other threds! As stated in thoes threds manpower is so low that pressure needs to be placed on the elected officials to hire more deputies in this county! Sounds like the open drug market is open for buisness according to the "whats happening on main street in grasonville". And also Cloverfields crime is on the rise! But again when manpower is so low, crime is going to continue to increase! Everybody needs to wake up, big city crime is here in Queen Anne's County! Just read the Sheriff's Office press releases and the news papers!
THE COUNTY NEED TO HIRE MORE COPS IN THIS COUNTY BECAUSE CRIME IS ONLY INCREASING!

Bad economy will = more crime....i agree, more police are needed to combat the rising drug trade and crime trends in the county..... and i read somewhere on here there are only 3-5 deputies on at night?? is this true? and if so, how to calls get handled in a timely, efficient manner? I know AA county has a dozen or so in 1 district........and we have 3-5 in the county? WOW!

Well, well, well............ole polllease is out of hybernation with a question! With all of the crime going on in this county unsolved (just look at the sheriffs on press releases), i saw a picture in the paper today that confuses me a bit......the sheriff at a ribbon cutting ceremony for a warehouse in the Centreville business park! What does that have to do with law enforcement or does he just have so much time on his hands, that he can go out for photo ops that have nothing to do with law enforcement?
And btw, its not just about being short staffed. First, you have to deploy the assets that you already have in a way that you maximize their efforts. Kinda like having 3 Lt's, a supply sgt and every patrol sgt stuck in the office. Now, i'm not a rocket scientist, but by count, thats about 8 bodies that could be on patrol. Next, you have to find and hire quality people that want to work for your dept. You cant just hire any yahoo because they're going to do more harm then good (as in the recent past).

Unfortunately, my family has had to call the Sheriff's office twice in the last month or so due to petty break-ins on our property. Fortunately, our experience with them was very positive and reassuring. We had an officer at our door in less than 15 min. after our call. Additionally, we received a follow up call from the Sheriff the day after we summoned them. Our neighbors (who had similar situations) have had similar positive experiences with this office.

we called last week for a party nearby.... loud... late.....were told no one from the QASO could come...and State wouldn't unless the noise was sustained for a long period of time.....
underage drinking and noise complaints must not be an issue at midnight......oh well...

Well, what you got what the 911 center.... Some of their responses are questionable and should be followed up and reported the next day directly to whomever is on duty at the State Barracks and the Sheriff's office. They are not infallable. There have been many complaints, also, about how that center operates. Don't know about currently, but in the past when you called 911 you didn't even get a local center -- they had no clue about the area you were calling from. Fact. If you call after 4:00 p.m. (?, again, I believe) you go directly to 911. All officers were probably on calls already -- so, again.....need more officers on the streets and the response about the State is bullcrap. They do respond.

To change the subject a little, did anyone catch the Commissioners meeting on tv? Capt. Williams was on and told the commissioners that gary/gery was out of town getting training on how to make sure gangs don't come to the county.
Are these guys so far out of touch with reality (I already know the answer) that they have no idea that gangs are already in this county? Or was that just a ploy for the camera so that the average joe doesn't think there here?

Here's a novel idea, how about sending the people who actually work the road and the investigators to a gang related seminar? This one must have been out of state! Sounds like a great opportunity to play away from the homefront!
