Or, Chevy's!!!!! I love that place! You know, there was a great place called Iguana's (where B&B is now). We used to get carry out from them all the time. The food was great, the prices just as great and one meal would last 2 days. I was SO sad to see them go....I wonder what ever happened of them..?

LoryM.. I hope that was a joke.. Iguana Cantina was the WORST place on earth.. the food was cooked Mexican style.. but Hindu Inspired.. they used Curry in almost anything. WORST.FOOD.EVER
If you want REAL Mexican.. you have to go somewhere near the Airport or in Brooklyn Park.
Chevy's is good, but it's Tex-Mex.. I don't think many people know what real mexican food is.

Nope, not a joke.....at least what ever we always got was always great.
I think you're right, not everyone really knows what REAL mexican is.....There just are no real places near by to get to experience it. I grew up near San Diego.....the hole in wall Mexican places were REAL Mexican food and the BEST!!!!

iguana was owned by the same guy who owned the cafe where rustico's is now. first he closed down iguana's, then he skipped town on the cafe. gave essentially no notice to the staff, put a sign on the door i think, and left. he had some good food thee, and always cool music.

Let's note that R's doesn't call itself a Mexican restaurant. They serve some meals that are often found in Mexican restaurants, but R's doesn't claim to be Mexican, Tex Mex, or authentic anywhere that I could find. They also don't claim to be Indian so I don't complain that I can't find good curry there. If you want Chipotle then by all means, go to a Chipotle! Annie's isn't Mortons, Cracker Barrel isn't PF Changs, Luke's isn't Gordon Biersch, and R's isn't Chipotle and no one should expect them to be. Try www.chipotle.com From that page there is a link to current locations and another link to offer a new location. IIRC, there is a restaurant with a drive through available right near the Red Apple plaza.

For the Record...I did NOT Compare Annies to Rs..... I said I could rag on Annies and Rustico's just like people who have ragged on R's. I believe I said all Resturants in this area are Hit and Miss.
Good on ya, for never having a bad meal or bad experience at Annies...I for one can not say that. I ve been there twice, and both times...food was horrible and service was worse. But hey...... R's was bad food and service as well.....and we have been lucky two times. since..... so who know if I ever venture to Annies again....might be better...might not.

I went to R's last night - -and I was very impressed. Service was fast and the food was great. LOVE THE NEW MENU! I had the Chesapeake Chile Rellenos and they were fantastic. Chips and salsa were great - so was the guacomole and of course the Corona's! New managers were friendly, checked on the customers and were bringing out food as well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone! On the down side - it shot my diet to hell!

Sorry about the diet. But glad that you enjoyed it! I agree the new menu is amazing, and very tastey. R's Americantina is Ameri-mex great for everyone, even the people who dont care for Mexican too much, I guess we havent quite mastered the diet menu thing. lol. hmmm.... Im not sure if you can make Mexican diet. lol

Hey everyone.
Rick the owner e-mailed me and here's my new review!
Wow, what an amazing way to get the issues I had resolved. My original review scathed the location for poor service, pricing, food quality, and portions. After reading my review and e-mail that I sent, Rick the manager invited me and my party back for an on the house dinner.
We told him a ballpark time of when we would arrive and did not say who we were when we came. Our service was exceptional, the waiter was fantastic, food cooked perfectly, and when everything was out of the kitchen I informed him of who I was and that he had really fixed pretty much every issue.
Pricing is still a little high, but this place deserves an A+ for owning up to its mistakes and really going out of their way to get back on track.
If you go, tell Rick that it was his great customer service that got the recommendation.
Cheers!
